Glenn Edward Exum my brother

Edward Glenn Exum, my brother

We are in London here. Notice the PIGEON on Ed’s head! Ed was the youngest of three boys in the family. He was second to none for being smart and was loved very much. He passed away too early but lived join the NAVY. It was Ed who once said to dad, “How can I get out of this outfit?” (Speaking about the family!) Soon after he joined the Navy. He said was tired of the rules. He lived to have a wonderful family with two children. He had a marvelous beard, and walked with a cane. One day when his hair had turned grey, he walked down the street with a white robe on, and a neighbor child saw him and told his mother “Mommy, look! Here comes Jesus!” Well, Ed was a real joy, and very wise. More on that later. For now, just know, I miss him very much. Precious memories, how they linger…
P.S. Back when we were quite young we enjoyed doing what adults would say was ‘stupid.’ One such stupid thing was to carry my youngest brother (Ed) down wooden stairs on my back (piggy-back). Unfortunately, I tripped. Stupidity of youth proved quite bloody as Eddie’s front teeth were knocked out. I cannot recall if I was punished… Probably so. Maybe I blocked it out! Anyway it was just one of the memories of growing up. I hope no one else tries that!
